Publisher's original cloth, gilt titles and train illustration to the front board, bumped to the spine ends and corners resulting in a little wear, the top corner faded, the tail of the spine a touch chipped, joints a touch worn and hinges a little delicate, particularly the rear hinge; a few minor surface marks to the boards. Two ownership inscriptions to the front endpaper, one crossed through. Some finger soiling and occasional instances of spotting; binding perhaps a touch loose in places. One leaf of publisher's advertisements to the front. Illustrated with a double page plan and eight plates, including two folding examples, one of which hand-coloured.
