Publisher's gilt decorated paper boards, the spine with losses and heavily toned, the edges of the boards soiled and discoloured, the corners bumped and bruised. The hinges a touch worn. Top edge gilt; edges uncut. Illustrated with heliogravure frontispiece and in-text diagrams. An uncommon copy of this work by Mary 'May' Morris, the daughter of William Morris. This was her first publication, and this appears to be the rare limited edition. 4to.
