Hughes, Ted & Plath, Sylvia. A collection of twenty-eight works from the library of Olwyn Hughes, some of which annotated; some damaged by fire when Olwyn Hughes dropped a cigarette behind a sofa. Majority autobiographical & children's. Comprising 1982 The Journals of Sylvia Plath, five copies (spines heavily faded, one lacking a portion of the front inner flap of the wrapper, two with some crossing through and marginal lines in biro); 2007 Collected Poems for Children by Hughes, a little smoke damaged; 2001 The Journal of Sylvia Plath, three copies; 1973 The Best American Short Stories, smoke damaged; 1983 Moortown by Hughes, front cover offset; 1974 Nessie the Monster, rather smoke discoloured; 2005 The Iron Man, three copies heavily stained by smoke; 1988 Moonwhales; 1987 Meet My Folks; 1971 New American Review; 1985 Ted Hughes by Thomas West; 1989 The Bed Book by Plath, seven copies; 1986 What is the Truth? by Hughes, two copies, a paperback and a hardback (hardback heavily worn, lacking the backstrip, wrapper loosely inserted). Publisher's bindings, some smoke damage throughout affecting some copies more than others, an interesting collection from the library of Hughes' sister.
