Dickens, Charles. A collection of ten 19th and early 20th century editions. Comprising [1912] The Pears edition of Charles Dickens' Christmas Books illustrated by L. Rossi; 1866 Dombey and Son, new edition bound in the original cloth; [c. 1900] Barnaby Rudge, in a full decorative gilt calf binding; 1857 Barnaby Rudge bound in the publisher's original blind stamped and gilt cloth; [c. 1905] The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Barnaby Rudge and Martin Chuzzlewit in their original dust wrappers, illustrated; 1850 American Notes, first cheap edition with preface; [c. 1871] Dombey and Son, finely bound in full green polished calf with decorative gilt spine and borders, marbled edges; [c. 1870] Martin Chuzzlewit, also finely bound in full green calf with decorative gilt spine and borders, marbled edges. Lightly shelfworn to the spine ends and corners, the American Notes toned to the spine which is lightly chipped to the head, wrappers similarly lightly chipped to the spine ends, a few surface scuffs and marks to the leather and the occasional stain to the cloth, a quite lovely collection. 8vo.
