Contemporary full panelled leather with first two volumes uniform, heavily worn, boards loose, rubbed and edgeworn. First volume with endpapers loose, appearing incomplete, finishing at AAA2 (p. 556), with some colouring to engraved vignette title page and frontispiece; endpapers, blanks and frontispiece loose but present to final volume, which has a portion of loss to the lower compartment of the spine, bindings loosening, some spotting and light staining, leaves lightly dog-eared to the lower corners with prelims a little tattered to the edges. A first edition set of this important description of the Wars of the Three Kingdoms, in need of sympathetic restoration. Folio.
