Austen, Jane. 1882-1885 The Works. London: Richard Bentley. Six volumes. Publisher's black blind stamped cloth, with gilt decorations and detailing to the spines. Light bumping to the spine ends resulting in minor nicks and losses, corners bumped, a few spots of paint to Pride and Prejudice and Northanger Abbey, occasionally little scuffs besides boards generally very bright. One or two spines a smidge cocked. Closed page edges a touch spotted. Ownership bookplate of Henry Harben to the front pastedown. Wear to the front joint of Pride & Prejudice, with the endpaper through title page loosening but held, heavy spotting. Joints discoloured and bindings occasionally a little tender, Emma with the front endpaper loose but present and some historic tape repairs to the gutter to p. 3 & 17.
